Role overview

St. Marien Medical College & Hospital is looking for a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join its women’s health team in Leipzig. The role involves managing a broad range of obstetric and gynaecological cases, supporting both inpatient and outpatient care, and working closely with anaesthesia, neonatology, radiology, and nursing teams to ensure safe and coordinated patient care.

The selected candidate will be expected to lead routine and complex clinical cases, contribute to labour ward coverage, perform surgical and non-surgical gynaecological procedures relevant to their experience, and supervise junior doctors where required. The role also includes participation in departmental meetings, clinical audits, case discussions, and hospital protocols relating to patient safety and quality standards.

This is a permanent role suited to a clinician who is confident in core obstetric and gynaecological practice, comfortable working in a multidisciplinary hospital environment, and interested in building a long-term career in Germany.
